Good afternoon

Hi everyone,

I guess we are all in the last minute panic of the holidays.  I think I need the pressure to finally get things done!

I have just received new dies and stamps.  They are absolutely gorgeous!  We will be having a sale on the weekend, but as I just received these, (the company took a long time to ship), they will not be in the sale.  The prices seem very reasonable, and they are so delicate and unique.  The also have some beautiful stamps, some to match the dies as well.  If you mention my blog, however, I will give you 20% off.

Have a wonderful, although very wet, day!  Remember, it could be snow...

Good morning!

Hi everyone,

It's beginning to feel like Christmas, suddenly!  I haven't bought a gift yet, and I'm still waiting for a die to come in the make my cards.  If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would get done at all ;-)

We are having a Make 'n Take this Sunday, Dec. 11, from 12-4pm.  Each one is $5 and they will be running approximately every 1/2hr.  You can make tags, wine tags, and small gift cards, for some quick ideas to adorn your gifts or wine bottles.  We thank Roz for the simple, yet stunning bird card idea.

We hope you can make it for a fun afternoon.

I've made a few cards over the last week or so.  They are all quick yet effective...

I used the Cuttlebug and the Marianne Ornament dies, but what makes all of the difference is using Mirracard.  It is SOOO shiny.  I must have been a crow in a former life!  I put sticky tape on a piece of cardstock around the same size as the ornament, peeled off the top layer of tape and stuck down the ornament cut-out.  I then sprinkled glitter in the holes.  After, as it was a simple shape, I cut out the ornaments, popped them out with foam buttons, and hung them with gold cord from a border punch of Martha Stewart.

For the following card, I also used sticky tape on card stock, cut out the tree die, peeled off the top layer of release sheet from the tape, stuck down the tree and then poured warm highlights glitter everywhere, added a few red crystals, et voilâ!  A very simple card.  I tied a red velvet ribbon along the side, for an old-fashioned look.

The final simple card is a sleigh die from Marianne as well.  I cut it out of red mirracard.  I then embossed the opal background with trees and snowflakes from Sizzix, layered the back with red mirracard, and taped it onto the opal card.  I added Stickles crystal glitter on the trees and snowflakes.  Very fast, but elegant.

Have a great weekend and I hope to see you Sunday!
