Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a good holiday weekend.  At least it's better than last Sunday.  I lost power for 8hrs. and had to spend my time bailing out my sump pump pit so my basement didn't flood.

We should be receiving some of the new Spellbinders dies this week, finally.  It's always hard to wait...a little like Christmas...We just received Penny Black Christmas stamps...as usual, they are amazing.

I made a card for Rob's daughter's wedding next weekend.  They used purple in the invitations, (which I made), so I wanted to incorporate it into their card.

We still have a few spots left on Sunday for Magdalena's Metal Art class.  Here are the samples you will be making:

If time permits you will be making this tiny book in the beginner class.

Louise has just finished this absolutely beautiful class for Christmas.  You "open" the door and there is an accordion card inside where you can put photographs or sentiments.  It makes a very special gift for a special person.  It would also be a great addition to a table or mantle.  The date is Sunday, Oct. 16th. 9-12:30.  You will not be finishing the interior as you would have to bring your sleeping bag! ;-)  My photo does not do it justice.

Good morning!

Hi everyone,

I just finished unpacking all of the Cover-a-Card stamps from Impression Obsession.  They look amazing.  Mary will be "demoing" (looks strange) from 10-2pm, creating combined backgrounds, using the new rocker to get an even impression every time.  There seems to be no combination that looks bad.  There will be a special on them as well.

We are also celebrating Pointe-Claire's 100 anniversary.  There will be festivities in the village all day as well as in the park behind.  We will be having a giant garage sale with lots of paper, punches, stamps, etc.

We are also registering people for the MercArt Metal art classes.  We have the samples here in the store and will be sending out an email in a day or two.  Space is limited so reserve early.  Here are some of the samples:

Hi Everyone

What a wonderful day we had yesterday with Nathalie from Magenta!  She is so talented, organized and relaxed.  We all had a fantastic day, and learned many new techniques.  Her sample boards were amazing!  I'd love to have all of them hanging in the store.  We even had some great Christmas card ideas.  I love their chipboard and the cork gives such a rich texture with the alcohol inks. 

We finally have all of the samples mounted for the metal art class that Magdalena, from MercArt is giving in September.  We are starting to register people, and space is limited.  Come in and have a look at the samples!

Hello everyone!

Once again, it's been far too long!  I've been so busy, some good things, some not so much, like renovations at home, but there are a lot of great products and ideas which we saw at the CHA which I'd like to share with you.  So many things, so little time.

We saw wonderful new dies from Spellbinders, paper from Kaisercraft, stamps from Impression Obsession and Penny Black and new stencils from Dreamweaver, just to name a few.  We will be having classes on all of these in the near future.  Some of the products will only be released in the next month or two.

The classes from Magenta are all but full.  There are still 2 spots remaining in class #2 on Sat. aug. 13th.  We are looking forward to learning the new techniques from Nathalie.  We've been in business about the same amount of time...20ish years!  My how time

I'm including some samples of the stamps that I will be receiving from Impression Obsession this week.  You use them with a rocker handle which makes stamping a whole lot easier once you master the simple rolling technique.  It is never easy to stamp a large stamp and get and even image, but the rocker stamp makes perfect images just about every time.  I was impressed.  You can multi-layer stamps and colours for a wonderful pattern.  We will be giving classes using this technique and likely doing a demo as well.  It's hard to go wrong.

We are also doing the Kaisercraft 9 Drawer box at the end of this month, Sun Aug. 28th 10-12:30.   so I am including an image of it as well.

Far too long...

Hi everyone,

It's been a very long time since I've posted.  Rather than load the blog with excuses, I've decided to give you some updates on exciting upcoming classes.  We are pleased to announce that Magenta will be teaching here on Saturday, August 13th.  We are finalizing the details of the classes this week so I'll keep you posted once I have the samples.  If you would like, you can call the store to be put on a list and as soon as we know, you can decide which classes you'd like to register for.

We are also really excited to have Magdalena, from MercArt come to teach from September 16-18th.  I've included some of the ideas that we have for classes.  I've admired Magdalean's work for MANY years and finally decided to ask her to come to Quebec to teach.  I'll be taking some of the classes myself.  She works with metal and either stamps, stencils or other templates to create absolutely stunning designs for boxes, bookmarks, cards and journals.  The samples I'm including are not necessarily the final ones, but will give you a good idea of what the classes will be.  Again, you can call to be put on the list until things are finalized.

Good sunny afternoon

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time!  I've had a very busy month, Boston, Sudbury, Washington, and it wrapped up with a wonderful weekend with Elizabeth Allan from Penny Black.  We all learned so much.  We've had so many positive comments about the classes and the organization.  I'm just glad it all came together.  Elizabeth is so great to work with, and extremely patient.  You can see just how much she loves what she does.  Thank you, Elizabeth and we look forward to hopefully seeing you at the CHA.

We are just adding some fantastic classes to the schedule.  You will be the first to see them.  Next weekend we have the Shimmer Sheets as well as Graphic 45.  The Shimmer Sheets class is full but we have another 2 in June.  I'll just include all of the photos and if you're interested, just call the store to reserve your place.

Hi everyone,

Agghhh!!!  What a miserable day.  I good day to curl up with a book on the couch with a fire, (if I only had a fireplace!).

We have gotten so much in for our anticipation of Elizabeth's class.  I hope not to be short on anything.  For those of you who have pre-ordered, everything will be bagged and ready to go after your class/classes.  All of the kits have arrived at my broker so we are in good time, (for a change ;-)  I hope Elizabeth has some good weather while she's here.

We are expecting Penny Black and tons of Outlines and the Shimmer Sheetz and glitter next week and have just received the Perfect Pens which were the hit of the show we just attended.  They make, guess what?  Perfect pearls!  What a Bonnidée...

Good afternoon

Hi Everyone,

Things are starting to arrive from the show last week.  What great STUFF!  WE just received a new line of stamps called Loralie.  They are SO CUTE and whimsical.  I hope you like them as much as I do. 

We also posted a lot of new and wonderful classes.  The "board" looks spectacular.

We will be getting in the new Viva products next week as the got to the border too late this week.  They make the most amazing backgrounds and now you can also have pearls in any color you want, whenever you want.
