Good afternoon,

So much for Spring!  Well, at least we are halfway through Feb. so Spring is not that far off.

We have a class coming up next Sat. Feb. 26 10-12 and Thurs. Mar. 3rd. 10-12 as well.  It's $35 including one of the cute Bugaboos.  If you'd like to register, just call the store.  Louise is doing 2 techniques with the Tombow markers as well as paper piecing. punching and glittering.  Just bring a good pair of small, sharp scissors.  Hope to see you then.

Enjoy the weekend,

Bonnie

Hi everyone,

Best of  intentions...I'd like to write every few days but there just aren't enough hours in the day.  I sound like my mother!

I made a card for Valentine's Day, inspired by Louise and using the Hoppies from House Mouse.  These are the little cutest little bunnies.  I used Staz On black and coloured with Tombow markers.  I glazed the chocolates with Diamond Glaze to give them a glossy finish.  The Punch is from good old Martha.  I also used a dot stamp from Penny Black and embossed with a clear pad, with clear powder for a watermark effect.

I have the dates for Elizabeth Allan.  She will be coming on Fri. Apr. 29-Sun. May 1. She will be teaching 3 different classes...all 3 on Sat.   2 of the same classes will be on Fri., and 1 on Sun.  For those of you wanting to take the full day on Sat. just give me a call and I'll add your name to the list.  I'll have the samples by the beginning of March.  Once I have the cards it will be easier to figure it all out.

Enjoy the Spring-like weather while it lasts!

Hi to everyone,

It certainly has been a while.  There just always seems to be a lull after the holidays in order to re-energize.

We are having a HUGE sale this Sat. in order to make room for a lot of new products.  Prices will be drastically reduced, especially in the classroom area.

I am placing an order with Spellbinders and Cuttlebug for their new products.  If there is anything you have seen and would like me to add, just let me know so I can put it in my pre-order.  Now, when they will come in is always a big question, but at least the order will be placed.  Spellbinders has a lot of really beautiful new dies, and Cuttlebug has a lot of interested new sets with many sizes of embossing folders.

I've made a card for Valentine's Day and will send it out next week, once the sale is over, which was inspired by Louise's class of the L'il Mimis easel card.  It's a great way to display a card.

Have a great weekend and I hope to see you on Saturday!

Happy New Year!

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great holiday.  Becasue of where Christmas and New Year's fell, I was able to take of 4 days in a row, both weeks!  Yahoo!!!

I've been busy preparing for the bridal show this weekend since before the holidays so I haven't made any card samples.  We did, however, get in some new stamps from Inky Antics which I've included below.  They are SO CUTE!  Louise will be doing a class with 2 of the "Buggies", (right Louise?)  ;-)  but not the ones I've shown here.

I've just finished a new French Wording Plate which we should have in a few weeks after it is manufactured.  I've included it as well.

Enjoy your weekend!

G'day!

Hi everyone,

I hope things are beginning to wind down for you.  It is always such a hectic time of year, but now it's time to BREATHE!

I wish you all a very Happy Holiday and a New Year of happiness and good health.

I'm including a few cards I did using the same stamp for my Christmas cards.  I used Stamp n Bond for all of them with either a black, gold or white base and they all look completely different.  In case you haven't tried this technique you stamp in a slow-drying ink such as color Box pigment, add the Stamp n Bond which is basically a powdered glue, heat until shiny, but don't overheat as it will dry out, add crystal glitter to allow the base colour to show through and quickly heat set again.  Nothing sparkles like this.

I hope to see you all in the New Year,

Bonnie

Good afternoon

Hi everyone,

I've been quite absent from here for the past few weeks.  I ended up with a really bad cold or flu which kept me out of the store for 4-5 days.

We are excited to announce that Elizabeth Allen from Penny Black will be teaching here the last weekend of April.  I don't have all of the details yet as we don't know the stamps she will be using.  She is preparing for the CHA in Jan.  I'm sure she will come up with some wonderful samples.  The classes will be on Fri. afternoon and evening, Sat. all day and Sun. morning.  As soon as I have more details I'll let you know.

Magdalena from MercArt will also be coming here to teach.  She will be doing metal embossing, mostly using rubber stamps as her template.  I've seen and admired her for years.  I'll be taking the classes as well!  We have to finalize the dates and the projects.  Again, I'll keep you posted.

Here are a few ideas, but we are in the process of coming up with more:  ie. a journal cover, bookmark and card for starters.

Hero Arts has a new catalogue!  I'll be placing an order with them so if there is anything you would like, just give me the number and name of the stamp.  If you pre-pay you will get 20% off.  Just call the store and give us your credit card number and your phone number.  When the order comes in we'll give you a call.  The number here is:  514-697-1184

Have a good evening,

Good afternoon!

Hi everyone,

We are having a sale this Saturday.  Everything in the store will be 25% off.  We still have Christmas stamps and paper for those of you, like myself, who have not started their Christmas cards yet.  After all, it isn't Dec. 24th. yet ;-)

We have a few beautiful classes left for the season.  On Dec. 11 we have both the explosion box which is a wonderful way to present and display your photos and the Fanciful Holiday Cuttlebug with 3 adorable cards.

See you on Saturday!

Fast enough...

Hi again,

Here is the card I made in about 2 minutes.  There are many other more complicated ways of doing it, but I like the simplicity of this one.  I stamped in black Archival Ink on cream smooth cardstock.  Can you see it framed?

Inkadinkado is here!

Hi everyone,

We just received an order from Inkadinkado.  They have sure changed their styles over the years.  This year's Christmas stamps are so unique.  I've seen them done just in black on a light cream.  How easy is that!  I've also seen them in a small frame as they are certainly little pieces of art and would make quick and inexpensive gifts.

We also received new papers from Creative Imaginations, from old fashioned to cute penguins but all of it is beautiful and makes cardmaking a lot easier at this time of year.

Have a great day,

Bonnie

Here are some of the stamps:

Well, it's been a while...

Computers...gotta luv 'em!  I just got my computer back after 2 weeks in the shop.  It's just amazing how much we rely on them.

We have some really cute classes coming up.  I'm including a few of them.

If you are short on time we have new card kits from My Little Yellow Bicycle.  You will make 8 cards with envelopes in two hours!  The cost is $35.  Here are the samples.

Once again, My Little Yellow Bicycle has come up with an adorable envelope booklet.  You can use the envelopes to include Coupons, Photos or Gift Cards.  We are giving it on 2 separate dates:  Sun. Nov. 28 from 10-12 and Wed. Dec. 1 from 10-12.  The cost is $37.50.  Come pass a few hours with friends.

We also have a traiditional Advent Calendar in which you can put special messages.  It makes a festive wall decoration.  We still have a few places left for this Sat. 20, from 10-12.  The cost is $39.50

Good morning,

Last week was just so busy in the store and the prepping for Toronto that I didn't have time to send some samples of cards that Louise and I made, using our new stamps.  Even though I've posted them here, they won't likely be in the store until next Tues.  You can call to reserve them if you'd like.

Also, Isabelle is working for a worthy cause where all proceeds go to fund scholarships for McGill students.  It's a book fair and the books are ridiculously inexpensive, on Oct. 20 and 21 at the Redpath Hall...here is the link:   http://montreal.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-books-McGill-Book-Fair-Foire-aux-livres-McGill-W0QQAdIdZ235907219

Have a great week and once I'm back we'll have Make N Takes in the store using all of our new stamps, and once again, the new punch from McGill.

Good morning everyone!

What a beautiful day, although a little nippy this morning.  I'm going to forego a turkey dinner (which I love), in order to hopefully have goose...Actually I hope to photograph the migration of the Snow Geese in Montmagny.

There are still a few spots left in the Just Rite 2 class.  You will be making a cute pop-up card which folds flat into an envelope as well as 2 others.  I've included the samples here.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!  Enjoy your turkey!
